The Papago GoSafe 200 is an excellent budget-priced dashboard camera that is very discreet and almost impossible to notice from outside your car. It mounts using a clip onto the back side of your rear-view mirror, so it doesn’t get in your way and it is difficult to notice from outside.
To view videos and modify settings, an LCD screen slides out to below your rear-view mirror – and slides back up again so you are never distracted.
The camera is equipped with a powerful sensor that captures Full HD 1080p images with a 140 degree viewing angle so you are sure to capture everything you see on the road.
The dashcam supports multiple recording modes – regular mode which will keep looping until you choose to stop and write protect a file, as well as emergency mode, which will write-protect a file as soon as a hard brake or jerk is detected, and parking mode, which turns your GoSafe 200 into a surveillance camera that automatically records whenever it detects movement.
An EV sensor automatically adjusts exposure levels to ensure you get the best quality picture no matter what lighting conditions there are, be it night, afternoon, morning, or noon.
A microphone is built in to record audio – but it will mostly be from inside the car. The mic can also be muted for privacy purposes. You can connect the camera to a computer using a USB cable to transfer videos and manage them.
